FEATURE DESIGN,
SAINT GENET,
DINOSAUR MAGAZINE
Ryan Mitchell and his performance group, Saint Genet, have left a thick rope of scar tissue on Seattle’s performance art scene; figuratively and literally. Performances have incorporated lush and complex set design, symphonic music performance, boxing matches in filth laden urban landscapes, onstage skin branding and tattooing, blood-play and humiliation. These performances are not for the faint at heart. To compress the complexity and grandiosity Saint Genet brings into a magazine feature offered its challenges.  Photo by Steven Miller
